At Age 41, I was 5'7 and 200 Pounds. If you had told me 6 months ago I would've hiked the Napali Coast trail in Kaua'i I wouldn't of believed you.

When my husband and I accidentally got pregnant at 26, our bucket list hike along the Napali Coast got cancelled. We decided we would just wait until after we delivered our first child and we'd hike the trail with our first born. Unfortunately, that day never came. 3 months after the birth of our first, we got pregnant again. This time with TWINS!

By the time our twins arrived, I had gained 60 additional pounds that did not go away. By 41, I was 200 pounds. The stress of motherhood with 3 kids and no childcare support seemed to just keep my body stuck in fight or flight, packing on the pounds. I hated myself. I couldn't help but let my size define my worth.

Look, I've had 3 amazing kids, but let's be real—each pregnancy left me about 30 pounds heavier. And after each one, I just felt... worse. Heavier, exhausted, and yeah, I hated looking in the mirror.

Doesn't help that I love good food and wine, right?

My kids didn't even want to play with me anymore because I couldn't keep up. My friends stopped inviting me out because I'd be out of breath after like 50 steps. My husband started hiking alone because... well, last time he had to get strangers to help me up after I fell down and twisted my ankle.

But honestly? The worst part was seeing it in his eyes. I know he loved me, but I wasn't the woman he married. I was a PRISONER in my body.
